SAN FRANCISCO, February 18, (THEWILL) – Early January, on the heels of the Olamide/Don Jazzy, Cynthia Morgan/Davido drama amongst others, another went down between Nigerian Idol season 3 first runner up, Olurishe Deborah popularly known as Debie Rise and her record label, 800Records.

Debie let out a disclaimer stating that she had parted ways and was no longer under contract with the aforementioned label/management. However, 800Records responded to Debie's claims revealing that she was still signed to the label and is infact under contract wit them till 2019.

In an interesting turn of events, Debie has come out once again to refute the record label's claims and oh…it gets juicier as she backs it up with documents this time!

She wrote:
“This is to inform the general public that the claims made by 800Records is erroneous!! This same Label, first stopped my allowance and later on, slammed me with a ‘Repudiation Of Contract’ letter dated 13th of  August 2015 – rendering me homeless in 7 days, simply because I requested for the financial report of the label’s activities on my career development, which I contractually have the right to KNOW. (Find attached the letter).

As a result of this repudiation I suffered unimaginable damages!! The public should also know that I and my lawyer’s attempt to make them reverse their decision fell on deaf ears.

I am however amused that they already regret their action and are actually begging to eat their vomit. They want me back by all means, hence they make false public statements and threats, which are all manifestations of their bully disposition that amounts to nothing in reality.

I shall now enforce my rights!!
By the power vested upon the signed contract, i openly declare 800records in breach of contract because of their failure to abide by the rules that govern default and suspension and because they have exceeded the period in which a cure in their breach will be accepted!!

I am not under contract with 800Records!!!

Therefore, I beg, that no third party be intimidated by the empty threats from the Record Label. Such threats demands justification from the “Law Court”. NO third party can be sued without justification!!

I declare FULL AUTHORIZATION to any PARTY that desires to work with ME. I challenge the Record Label to join issues with me if they think I have faulted in anyway!!!

Consequently, since their desire for me is strong, then a fresh contract will be required, which my lawyer might consider. The former contract stands repudiated and breached!”

Below are the documents she's using to back up her statement…
