DreamOut Opens Free Recording Studio For Musicians In Lagos‎

DreamOut Empire has opened its recording studio for free recording to support aspiring musicians in Nigeria industry music. The initiative which is called Open Studio Thursday will provide emerging artists the opportunity to record, mix, and master their music at no cost. At least 40 artistes are expected to benefit from the first phase of this initiative.

The Open Studio Thursday initiative is designed to support talented and passionate musicians helping them to eliminate the burden one of the prevalent challenges in their career: affording studio time. In a statement released by the company Chief Operating Officer, Enisemo Temitope, Open Studio Thursday it’s a DreamOut way of encouraging talents and will also go a long way to support and enlighten them on the basic of music business operations and various means to expose their music to a much larger audience.

It is described as a rare opportunity for building talented artistes who could not afford the financial hurdle of affording studio time, Enisemo said “Artistes now have free studio time to record in an environment that encourages their creativity at no cost”. Open Studio Thursday will take place every Thursday starting from February 4, 2016 and artistes have to apply for it.

To qualify for free recording session, artistes are expected to have the beat or the instrumental of the song they want to produce, not more than 5 minute and record 60 seconds of the song with their phone to be send to [email protected] with the subject “OPEN STUDIO THURSDAY” including their short biography, twitter handle, Facebook name, Instagram, mobile number, e-mail and contact address. All genres of music are welcome for consideration.
