Unfolding its plans yesterday during a courtesy visit to the headquarters of the National Film and Video Censors Board in Abuja, leader of the team and Chief Executive Officer of the group, Mr. Brian Pottinger, said it has floated a subsidiary - Nu Metro Home Entertainment, West Africa for the purpose.

Pottinger while acknowledging Nigeria's potentials said his team will be interested in doing business in the fields of entertainment, cinema, establishing plants to produce film materials, and setting up two distribution companies.

"Nigeria is an extraordinarily exciting and attractive country. We are interested investing in the country because we have great faith in her future", he said.

Speaking while receiving the team in her office, Director-General of the Board, Mrs. Rosaline Odeh, said Nigeria's film industry has made dramatic growth in the last two years because the Censors board embarked on well defined classification code, which led to the lifting of the industry from "its chaotic past of sex, violence and ritual reputation to a standard more acceptable to local and international audience".

She responded to those making disparaging remarks about the actions of the censors board describing them as selfish people trying to derail the growth of the film industry.
