According to Punch, the alleged UNILAG r'ape victim has been given a schorlarship to further her education at the Adeleke University in Ede, Osun State.

The higher institution is owned by the family of popular Nigerian artiste, David Adeleke, better known as Davido.

Lately, there have been reports on an 18-year-old admission seeker that was allegedly molested by a lecturer at UNILAG named Akin Baruwa. However, the school has distanced itself from the suspect.

It was gathered that the victim has been given the opportunity to study Mass Communication at the Osun State-based school.

Confirming the offer, the Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Oluwole Amusan, said, 'Giving out scholarships to indigent students is not new to us. Our founder had a foundation whose existence preceded the university, through which scholarships were given to students. Since the university was established four years ago, the tradition has continued.”

The excited grateful father of the alleged r'ape victim disclosed that, “I was so happy when I was contacted. May God bless you so much for seeing the case through. I am so happy. Such scholarship would be a big blessing to my daughter.”
