Film Producers Disturb Me Despite My ‘Condition’—Yoruba Actress

She has come to embrace a profession which is one of the gross earnings of the country but with her kind of being, Olubunmi Imoleayo Adebayo, is not ready to accept defeat in whatever way it comes.

The fast rising Yoruba actress, who is a dwarf, stated that she does not like it when people see her as a dwarf rather than accept her as human being and get along.

Olubunmi told Newswatch magazine that even while many ignore her because of her condition, Nollywood producers are disturbing her just to get down with her.

According to her, “They do, it will surprise you how they made passes at me even in my condition. I have worked with the likes of Lanre Omiyinka aka Baba Ijesha, Peter Fatomilola, Muyiwa Ademola and many others. I have met Bukky Wright, Chief (Mrs) Oyewumi Esusu and some important artistes, but most of the male artistes want to go all the way with me, they always want to take advantage of me.”

When asked how she would feel if she gives birth to dwarf, the actress stated that she does not hope to have one so that she does not suffer the same humiliation she is getting.

“Noting, but I hope not because I don't want my child to face the humiliation I am facing now. The segregation is well pronounced,” she said.
