Jonathan appoints Sanusi as new Supreme Court justice
President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the appointment of a new justice for the Supreme Court. He is Justice Amiru Sanusi.
The appointment of Justice Sanusi now raised the number of justices of the Supreme Court to 18.
The National Judicial Council (NJC), in a statement yesterday, confirmed the appointment.
NJC's Acting Director Information, Soji Oye, said Justice Sanusi will be sworn-in today by the Chief Justice and NJC Chairman, Mahmud Mohammed, at 11 am in the Supreme Court Complex.
