Over 3000 PDP Members defected to APC in Adamawa
Alkawa ward of Yola North LGA witness a heavy turned up of mammoth crowds as People Democratic party ,PDP stalwarts of the ward denounced their membership and loyalty to All Progressives Congress, APC calling PDP a party of betrayal and has nothing to offer to Nigerians with the over sixteen years of ruling the country.
Many of the party official of APC including the gubernatorial candidate of the party,Senator Mohammadu Jibrilla Bindow were in attendance to officially receive the decampees to their fold
One of the defector and a ardent follower of PDP who was a founder of frontier movement of PDP Madu Umar,said PDP is a total failure and any right thinking human being who is wishing a the state well will not hesitate to run to APC the only party for good people
" I use to be in PDP since the very day I discovered that my effort for them is not appreciated, my struggles for the party has been since replaced by APC with their wind of change slogan that swivelled the whole of the country,since then was done on me to dump the party for Apc, Bidow is our saviour in this state i am even calling all the people in Adamawa state to vote for APC all through. Also i am inviting other parties to decamp like wise else it will later be too late for them".Madu called
Another decampee who was PDP state delegate and a stalwart in Yola North popularly known as Habu Dollar PDP state delegate extolled the qualities of the APC gubernatorial candidate, calling him a right standing man who is going to change Adamawa within a very possible time, considering him (Bindow) as a governor and Buhari as our President our state and our people will smile like other people in other state
"If I can renounced the party which do not respect internal democratic, fore seeing the bad omen they will bring to the state my next thought is to better go to where they have more truth and honesty with the good candidate like Bindow who is a serving senator haven seen what is doing on ground it convinced me of better days ahead" Dollar said
The vice chairman central,Hon.Dimas Simon who welcomed the new members assured them of equal treatments as they now part and parcel of APC.The events was characterised with submission of all the defector's PDP cards to the party secretary and replacing them with brooms,Apc caps and membership cards
"We given you the privileges and chances others enjoyed in our party and collecting that of PDP cards from you a sign that we expects unalloyed loyalty from you now that you have found a new party" Dimas charged
In his response the gubernatorial candidate told the mammoths to expect good tidings from his government
