BEVERLY HILLS, February 13, (THEWILL) – The Minister of State for Power, Hon. Mohammed Wakil, Friday , commiserated with the families of Thursday's suicide bombing at the Biu Market in Borno State.

The Minister, who also lambasted Boko Haram for embarking on what he described as diversionary attacks, having being rattled by recent military successes, said the insurgents were only out to  divert the attention of the military from the main epicentre of the war against them.

Wakil stated this on Friday in a statement he signed to also commiserate  with the people and  Emir of Biu over the Thursday's attack.

According to the Minister, the “bomb blast is reprehensible and an attempt by the insurgents to open a new front of attacks following ongoing counter insurgency operations by the national and multi national forces.”

Urging the military not to be moved by  the insurgents' recent actions, the minister said they should press forward in  the ongoing efforts to rid the region of terrorists.
