Nigeria's foremost reggae dance hall singer, Omin Churchill Nyong popularly known as Spydaman, is currently making final burial plans ahead of his late father, chief Churchill Nyong.

Narrating the ugly ordeal that led to the sudden death of the late 60 year old chief, the singer's media aid, Obaji Akpet, explained that Spydaman was about stepping into the studio when he received a call that his father was dead.

Obaji stated that it all started when the late chief had attempted to remove the cut-out on the electric meter board to avoid a serious casualty that could occur after an high tension cable fell across his roof and began to spark flames.

According to the story, “the reggae dance hall crooner's father was in his Calabar residence when an electric pole with a powered high tension cable fell across his roof and began to spark flames. Afraid of what more can engulf from the sparks emanating from the electric, Spydaman's father hurriedly reached out for the cut-out on the electric meter board to pull it out in order to avoid a worst case scenario when he terribly met the fate of electrocution that eventually led to his demise.”

The singer has made a name for himself with hit track songs like, 'Dance Hall'; 'Tido'; 'Egwu' featuring Timaya; 'Prayer' featuring Terry G; 'Mai Oh Mai' featuring Ice Prince and YQ; among others.
