16 January 2015, LAGOS, Nigeria—The All Progressives Congress's (APC) presidential campaign tour of all 36 states moved to Benue and Kogi States respectively.

The delegation was led by Muhammadu Buhari, the presidential nominee of the APC who appeared with his running mate, Prof Yemi Osinbajo. Also present at the events were other party delegates, including as APC National Leader Chief John Oyegun and Director General for the Buhari campaign, Governor Rotimi Amaechi.

The first rally, which held at Makurdi Stadium, saw Amaechi speak to an excited crowd who came out to show support to the presidential nominee and their party favourites. “Wait for your votes to be counted before you leave,” Amaechi told the crowd.

Party chieftain, Chief Audu Ogbeh took the stage to also stress the importance of the people to secure their votes, telling his rapt audience, "Don't leave until your votes have been counted."

Speaking in favour of the party's presidential nominee, Oyegun took the stage to encourage the people to embrace the change APC and Buhari promised Nigeria, with strong words to “vote out PDP”.

Buhari then took the stage to restate his commitment to the people if elected into office. “I will emphasise those things that I need to be in your mind from now till the fourteenth,” he said. “If we can stop corruption, which we can, the money ploughed back will be put into power, industries, concentrate on agriculture and mining. Security, unemployment and corruption form a vicious cycle which the APC government will break.”

Afterwards, the campaign moved on to Kogi State where they were warmly received by Prince Abu Audu, the APC State Leader. The campaign held at the Lokoja Township Stadium as Buhari addressed another mammoth crowd, who received the delegates with positive cheers.

Buhari reminded the people of the party's mission to diversify the economy and run a transparent government by saying, “We'll bring dignity to this nation; ensure good security, economic diversity and transparency in government.”
