Former Gov Nnamani seeks re-election to Senate, pledges quality representation to constituency

By Chibota Edozie The Enugu East Senatorial candidate of People for Democratic Change, PDC, and former governor of Enugu state, Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani has pledged to give the constituency quality representation if given another chance to go to the Senate.

Nnamani made the pledge at Ikem, Isi-Uzo local government area when he visited the area on a campaign tour.

Nnamani said he was overwhelmed with the turn out of the people of the area in his campaign and pledged to give the zone a voice in the national discuss.

He enjoyed the people to go to the INEC offices and obtain their permanent voters cards, PVC, to enable them vote the candidate of their choice in the February elections.

The former governor who represented Enugu east senatorial district between 2007 and 2011 further stated that he will facilitate human capacity building while giving quality representation if given the opportunity to go to the senate again.

He mentioned some of his achievements as a governor to include construction of Enugu State Judiciary Complex, ESUT Teaching hospital, ESUT permanent site, different rural electrification, among others.

He also commended the effort of the members of his party for organizing the rally in Isi-Uzo local government.

Earlier in a courtesy call to the traditional ruler of Ikem community, Igwe Francis Okwor prayed for successes in every intention the former governor has for his people and Nigeria at large.

Dignitaries at the campaign rally included the state Chairman of PDC Comrade Sunday Ani, PDC candidate for Enugu East/Isi-uzo Federal House of Representative Iyke Omeh, the Isi-Uzo state constituency candidate for House of Assembly, Simon Olinya, among others.
