Ekiti Govt Pays Workers October Salary

October, 2014 salary of civil servants, teachers, pensioners and other government workers in Ekiti State has been released.

Special Assistant to the State Governor, Dr Ayodele Fayose on Finance, Chief Toyin Ojo said cheques and warrants for payment of the October salary were released today.

He said other outstanding arrears of August and September salary left unpaid by the immediate past government of Dr Kayode Fayemi will be paid soonest.

The governor's aide also disclosed that salary of Local Government workers will be released after the mandatory Joint Account Allocation Committee (JAAC) meeting on Monday, next week.

Chief Toyin Ojo, who thanked the workers for their understanding, assuring them that the Fayose-led government will not relent in its efforts to improve the welfare of the people.
