House Of Representatives, National Assembly Abuja Supports Jonathan

We, the undersigned members of Rivers State caucus of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the National Assembly (House of Representatives) hereby declare our total, unflinching and unconditional support for His Excellency, Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan (GCFR), President, Federal Republic of Nigeria.

We are indeed impressed with His Excellency's programmes and numerous achievements so far recorded in various sectors of the Nigerian economy, as well as his commitment and dedication to the security, sovereignty and development of Nigeria, including his dogged commitment to enshrine and sustain democracy in Nigeria.

We have firm belief in His Excellency's calm, matured, meticulous and well calculated approach in handling terrorists and imperialist insurgency in Nigeria, which no doubt is tainted with political flavour.

Whilst reaffirming our faith and unalloyed support for Mr President, we hereby call on him to run for the 2015 Presidential Polls under the PDP Platform.

We equally support and call on the Honourable Minister of State for Education, Chief (Barrister) Ezenwo Nyesom Wike to also run for the Governor of Rivers State in 2015, as his candidature is a sure ticket to PDP's victory in Rivers State.

We are not unaware that some members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State are being used by the PDP elected APC Governor to disintegrate the PDP, however, we are confident that they would fail.

We pray that God Almighty will grant Mr. President and our Chief Nyesom Wike the grace, wisdom and courage to steer the affairs of the Nation and indeed Rivers State to enviable heights.
