Bomb Explodes In Kano Health School, Eight Killed
The ancient commercial city of Kano has yet witnessed another
terror-attack as a suicide bomber broke into School of Hygiene Monday
afternoon, killing eight and wounding
many.
School of Hygiene No fewer than eight people lost their lives and many
injured when is located opposite Sabo Kofar, along BUK Road.
Mr. Adenrele Shinaba, Kano state Commissioner of Police confirmed the
incident which occurred around 2:30 P.M. to Pointblanknews.com.
According to him, eight people died in the blast, adding that “the wounded
have been taken to hospitals for treatment as I am talking to you and we
are doing our best to put the situation under control,” the Police boss
added.
Shinaba also urged residents to remain security conscious and report
suspicious movement to police and other security agencies.
“You know that it was about time students closed from school and were
about going home. The human traffic was hectic when the incident occurred
and I believe many people must have lost their lives.
“I saw about 10 dead bodies and buses were taking dozens of wounded
students to the hospital. It was a sad experience,” an eyewitness told
Pointblanknews.com.
Another person who identified himself as Peter also said that the sound of
the blast was deafening, “I was at a corner near Rumfa College when I
heard a deafening sound. On getting close to the area, I saw dead bodies
and wounded people shouting for help.”
