Nigeria/ Iran encounter: Mark urges prayer for supper Eagles
President of the Senate Senator David Mark has reminded Nigerians of the need to pray for the Supper Eagles of Nigeria in order to triumph over their Iranian counterparts in their opening game on Monday.
Senator Mark who is head of Nigerian delegation to Brazil to cheer up the Supper Eagles noted that ” our victory in the match against Iran would give us the necessary boost to advance in the competition”.
He confirmed that Eagles and their handlers are in high spirit ahead of the match but “our prayers would be the needed elixir for the Nigerian lads to triumph over their opponent.”
Senator Mark noted that sports especially soccer is a unifying force that binds the nation together, saying ” more than anything else, I believe we can leverage on the opportunity of our strength in football to further bring peace and unity to the nation.”
He restated that government would do the needful to appreciate the Players and officials if they triumph in Brazil.
