PDP Postpones Ekiti Governorship Campaign Presidential Flag-Off Over Jos Bomb Blast

BEVERLY HILLS, CA, May 21, (THEWILL) â€' The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has postponed by one week, the Presidential flag-off of Ekiti state governorship election campaign billed for Thursday.

A statement from the national headquarters of the party said, 'the postponement is in honour of the victims of the unfortunate bomb blast in Jos, Plateau state capital.'

The statement further said: 'The PDP restates that it is committed to the plights of Nigerians in the light of the security challenges facing our nation.

Our hearts reach out to the victims and their families and we pray that all Nigerians unite as we say no to terrorism

Finally, we pray that the insurgents will release our abducted girls for them to reunite with their families.'
