By Lere Olayinka

Former Governor of Ekiti State, Chief Segun Oni has commiserated with Vice President Mohammed Namadi Sambo over the death of his younger brother,

Yusuf Sabo Sambo, describing the death as shocking and painful.

Oni, who reacted to Captain Sambo's death in a statement issued today, said he was still finding it difficult to believe that such a jolly good fellow and seasoned pilot could passed on very soon.

He said the death was an exit of a phenomenal role model and trailblazer, who injected vibrancy, glamour and colour into the job of air transportation as a seasoned pilot, and one of Nigeria's best pilots.

Oni said; "Captain Sambo was my very good friend and I am still in shock, hoping to be told that the news of his death is a rumour.

"It is one death too painful!
"May the Almighty Allah, in His infinite mercy give Vice President Namadi Sambo and the entire Sambo family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss."
