GROUP CONDEMNS GOV. ORJI FOR STOPPING OKOROCHA'S VISIT

A group under the aegis of Igbo Rescue Mission has condemned the action of Governor T.A. Orji for stopping Governor Okorocha from his visit to Aba for reception organized for him by Clergy of South East and South-South extraction.

The group led by its Chairman, Chief Nnadozie Benjamin addressing Journalists earlier today, Monday, October 14, 2013, described Governor T.A. Orji's action as primitives and uncivilized warning that such has dragged the good name of the State to the mud.

Speaking further, the group however took a swipe at the large scale misrule in Abia State despite huge revenue allocation to the State.

A group of clergy whose membership is over five thousand from South East and South South that goes by the name, Nigeria Rescue Missionaries Network was billed to have their National Conference at Abia State Polytechnic, Factory Road Aba. On hearing that Governor Okorocha was a Special Guest at the said Conference, Governor T.A. Orji in his trade character sent

"We received the news with shock as what was purely a religious affair was received with so much bitterness and desperation. What is this action for if not directly a shame of abysmal performance of the Governor of Abia State.

It will be recalled that T.A. Orji's thugs had ferociously attacked our group at Isi Alangwa, Abia State with machetes , guns and other dangerous weapons causing pains and spilling blood for fear of PDP being dislodged. If we are in democracy, then T.A. Orji would have proven a misfit in the system with his government of impunity".

We can no longer tolerate a situation where friends of Abia and real leaders of Ndigbo are molested with disregard. Aba remins a home for Ndigbo. It is unfortunate that it has been taken twenty years backward for lack of vision and mission of the present administration. We warn that such act of desperation should be put to a stop.

It will be recalled that T.A. Orji was largely disgraced and embarrassed by Aba residents during Late Ikemba, Ojukwu' funeral rights in Aba, which led to the sack of some of the top officials of Abia government. Since that ill fated outing of T.A. Orji, he has continually shown bitterness and dislike for Gov. Okorocha.

The group called on Abians in general to remain calm as the end for visionless men has come as such people will never have have access to the Government House of Abia State, while praying Abians to wait for the right time to expunge the government of inhumanity from the history of God's own State.
