Over 1 million attend Holy Ghost Service
The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), on Saturday said it would build a three kilometre long auditorium, as the current auditorium could no longer hold service attendees.

The General Overseer of RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye  at  the Holy Ghost Service at the Redemption Camp in Mowe, Ogun, said that the new auditorium which would be built at the mission's camp ground at km 46, Lagos-Ibadan expressway would also be three kilometres wide.

This month's Holy Ghost Service, a monthly event, was particularly special as it fell within the annual convention of the church that holds in August.

This will make the auditorium a humongous 9km square auditorium, and one of the top ten churches in the world, in area size.http://www.therichest.com/the-biggest/top-10-biggest-churches-in-the-world/

.
The Holy Ghost Service was one of the programmes lined up for the 61st Annual Convention of the church.

Adeboye, 71,  said that the existing auditorium which was built in year 2000 with a capacity to sit one million people at once could no longer accommodate millions of people who attended service.

According to him, the project will start immediately and will be completed before the 62nd Convention in August 2014.

He solicited for donations from members toward making the project a reality.

Adeboye had earlier said that a total of 72 babies were born at the camp between Monday and Friday.

The convention continued on Saturday with the anointing service and will end on Sunday with the ordination of pastors.
