Borno reconstitute Pilgrims Board

Governor Kashim Shettima has appointed Professor Tijjani El-Miskin as Executive Chairman of the reconstituted Borno State Pilgrims Welfare Board along with 11 other Board members.

The Board members inlude : Ustaz Dr. Hamma Adama Biu, Sheijh Muhammad Goni Ali Gabcia, Sheikh Arabi Abulfsthi, Sheikh Ibrahim Mustaoha, Sheikh Shettima Habib, Sheikh Tijjani Umara, shrikh Abubakar Kyari, Sheikh Jsafar Saad Ngamdu, Mrs. Adama Shettima Ibrahim Lawan and s representative of the Governor's Office and Ministry of Religious Affsirs and Special Education.

The current executive secretary is now to serve as Secretsry of the reconstituted Board.

The reconstitution and appointment is in accordsnce with section 5 (1) CAP 104A of the Laws of Borno Stste 1994 snd the new Board has a lifespan of three-years.

Governor Shettima carefully selected snd appointed the Chairman and members of the boerd based on their respective integrity, selflessness , professionalism wealth of experience and rooted passion to serve humanity.

Governor Shettima has full confidence in each of the appoitees with high expectations that the new Board will consolidate on successes recordednin previous pilgrimage activities, introduce fresh ideas and take firm measures that would greatly help to guarantee enhanced welfsre of pilgrims through commitment, ewuity, fairness snd the fear of Allah.

The govermor urges the new appointees to kindly abide by the laws establishing the Board for the smooth conduct of their activities and also sustain cordial working relationship with the Amirul Hajj Committee that will be constituted in due course.
