US VARSITY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION MOURNS EKITI DEPUTY GOVERNOR

Alumni of the Central State University, Edmond Oklahoma, United States of America (Nigeria Chapter) has commiserated with the Ekiti State Government and the entire people of the State over the death of the Deputy Governor, Mrs Funmilayo Olayinka, describing her death as “most painful and a great loss to the country.”

The late deputy governor was a post graduate student of the university in 1983.

The Alumni Association said in a statement issued on its behalf by Rt. Hon. Femi Akinyemi; “No doubt, the death of Mrs Olayinka, a distinguish alumnus of Central State University, Edmond Oklahoma, United States of America is painful and a great loss to the entire people of Ekiti State and, especially to us, her school mates, who continue to cherish her love and affection, and we pray for the repose of her soul.

“Mrs Olayinka's love for people, her concern for her friends and associates will remain evergreen with us.

“We, the Alumni of the Central State University, Edmond Oklahoma, United States of America (Nigeria Chapter) mourn the departure of Mrs Olayinka, a dynamic and virtuous woman.


“It is our prayers that the Almighty God will strengthen her aged parents, her husband and children, the Ewi-in-council, the entire people of Ado-Ekiti and the entire people of Ekiti State in this sad moment.

“May her amiable soul rest in perfect peace.”
