Tex Styles Company Limited, previously known as Ghana Textiles Printing (GTP), will unveil its 2009 collection at a special event to precede the Ghana Black Stars versus Lesotho match at the Essipon Sports Stadium on Saturday, October 11.

According to Mr Kwabena Yentumi, the Marketing Director of Tex Styles Company, the theme for the new collection is Harnessing our design gems to inspire our creativity today and to look forward to the future.

Themes for previous collections have been related to areas such as education, health, the environment and Ghanaian consciousness.

Sunday's event to unfurl the 2009 collection forms part of Tex Style's desire to constantly expose its latest designs to the fashion-conscious public.

The company has for several years now brought out new designs periodically and encouraged up-and-coming designers to create appealing styles with its extensive range of fabric designs.

Tex Style's forum to spot new fashion and design talents is tagged the Wax Style contest and it has over the years unearthed brilliant practitioners like Eunice Aba Sackey, Thomas Safo Boakye, Michael Allan-David and Isaac Donkor.

Tex Styles sometime ago decided to introduce its new fabric designs to new possible clients through sporting activities.

The company, therefore, organised a big fashion show last November at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium during the four-nation soccer tournament that preceded the Ghana 2008 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.

Mr Yentumi said in line with its novel way of unleashing new designs on the public via soccer events, Tex Styles has renewed its relationship with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and recently presented GH¢40,000 to motivate the Black Stars to a resounding victory on Sunday.
