ODUA STATES APPOINT ALLI, FORMER OYO SSG AS CHAIRMAN OF ODUA INVESTMENT COMPANY

Former Secretary to the Oyo State Government and Chieftain of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Chief Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli has been appointed the chairman of Odu'a Investment Company Limited.

According to a letter of appointment signed by Mr. Adebayo Jimoh, the Group Managing Director of the conglomerate, owned by the five Odua states of Oyo, Osun, Ogun, Ondo and Ekiti states, dated August 4, 2011, Alli would be occupying the position for the next two years.

He's expected to complete the four year term as chairman on October 31, 2013 formerly occupied by Senator Brimmo Yemi Yusuf.

The letter further stated that after October, 2013, Alli would continue as a non-executve director till May 29, 2015 subject to any review that the shareholders mightdecide and which would be accordingly communicated to him.

Before his appointment, he was a member of the Governor Abiola Ajimobi's campaign team and Transition Committee that ushered in the present administration in Oyo State.

Ali attended the University of Ibadan between 1983 and1986 where he graduated with LL.B (Honours) in Law. He was at the Nigerian Law School, Victoria Island, Lagos where he obtained Bachelor in Law (BL) in 1986-1987 and was called to the bar in 1987.

He is also a member of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), International Bar Association and a Principal Partner, Biodun Alli & Co and a director of various companies.
