Ogun Urges Ex-Political Office Holders To Return State Assets

Lagos, August 01, (THEWILL) - The Ogun State Government has warned all former political office holders in the state still holding on to government assets to return them with immediate effect.

A statement from the state’s Information Commissioner, Mr. Yusuf Olaniyonu frowned at the development and warned that security agents would be invited to recover the assets including ‘houses, vehicles and number plates.’

“These ex-political office holders in possession of government properties are HEREBY DIRECTED to return the said properties to the appropriate quarters/officials within 48 hours of this announcement, failure of which the security agencies shall be invited to recover same,” the Monday statement added.
