San Francisco, August 04, (THEWILL) – Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan is expected to announce a minor cabinet reshuffle any moment from now according to a knowledgeable source who craved anonymity.

The President recently forwarded names of three ministerial nominees from Yobe, Delta and Borno States to the Senate for confirmation as Cabinet ministers.

Senators are scheduled to reconvene on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 for their confirmation and also to okay funds for INEC to conduct the voters’ registration for the 2011 general elections.

One of the Ministerial nominees according to Senate sources is Mr. Kenneth Gbagi, a well known critic of the Ibori and Uduaghan administrations and former gubernatorial aspirant in Delta State.

The Minister of State for Finance, Mr. Remi Babalola may likely be affected by the changes according to the source while another female Minister who currently occupies a very strategic Ministry may also be affected.

Babalola recently publicly declared that the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has been unable to meet its financial obligations which caused the federal government some degree of embarrassment.

The current administration barely has nine months left to deliver on its promises to Nigerians.
