Rivers assembly speaker resigns

Reports emanating from River State shows that the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Ikuinyi-Ow­aji Ibani, may have resigned his position.

The resignition came few minutes after the passage of the 2016 Budget of N307 billion into law, which he presided over.

Ibani, who represents Andoni Constituency in the House, was said to have resigned on personal ground.

In his place, a new Speaker has been elected. He is Adams Dabotorudima, representing Okrika Constituency.
