Atiku's Daughter, 21 Others Sworn-In As Commissioners In Adamawa

Dr Fatima Abubakar, the daughter of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and 21 others have been sworn in as Commissioners by Governor Bindow Jibrilla of Adamawa.

Speaking at the swearing ceremony, Gov Jibrilla said the appointees were selected based on merit.

Jibrilla urged them to join hands with him in bringing the desired change in the state.

"Your loyalty is for the people of Adamawa who you represent and not to me", Jibrilla said.

Speaking to newsmen shortly after taking oath of office, Dr Fatima, the daughter of Atiku Abubakar who is to handle the Ministry of Health thanked the governor for the opportunity given her to serve.

Fatima who is a medical consultant announced the donation of her salary and allowances as commissioner towards healthcare development in the state.

" I am very grateful to the governor for appointing me to head the health ministry. The health ministry is the most challenging out of the ministries because of the insurgency that we are having which has completely broken down the the health system in the state. In this vain, I shall be donating my total salary and allowances towards healthcare development in the state.
