Woman Commits Suicide After Delivering Sets Of Twins

A 38-year-old married woman, impregnated by her secret lover, took her life after she delivered a set of twins, in a suburb of Lagos state.

According to earlier reports from P.M.News, the woman, Mrs Joy Bakare, died at Aya-Oye Street, in the Ejigbo apartment of her secret lover, Fatai Rafiu, where she was reportedly staying after getting pregnant.

The cause of her death could not be ascertained, not until a suicide note was recently found in her own apartment.

The note contained Joy's expressed disappointment and frustration after she gave birth to the twins. She stated that her lover left her, after she became pregnant and gave birth to the babies.

Sources revealed that, she left her husband's house with the hope that her lover would marry her. However, this did not happen as she later found out that her lover was married with two kids. He also refused to rent a place for her when she conceived and gave birth as against her thought.

Sources learnt she had three children for her husband, who lives in Surulere, before she became pregnant for her lover, who lives at Abaranje in Ikotun

Rafiu, however, did not give details of his relationship with Joy, until the bubble bursted. To cover the shame of Joy's pregnant, he took her to the flat of one unnamed single mother, where she finally gave birth to a boy and a girl.

After a few days that she gave birth to the twins and was brought back to the woman's apartment, she was found dead on top of a bed, with foams coming out of her mouth.

On the day of Joy's death, the said single mother heard the cry of babies, and went into her room to see what was happening, only to find out that the mother of the twins was dead.

She later contacted her lover, who came to the place, but refused to take responsibility for her burial.

Rafiu said he could not marry Joy, therefore, he would not take responsibility for her burial despite being the father of the twins.

Neither the deceased estranged husband, nor her lover, accepted the corpse for burial. It was not until Joy's sister was contacted that she took the deceased to Isolo General Hospital mortuary.

The babies were handed to Rafiu, who took them to his resident in Ikotun, where his wife later discovered about his adulterous nature.

Meanwhile, a 15-year-old Indian teenager, Khusboo Kumari, has committed suicide because her parents refused to build a toilet in the house.
