Bomb: Buhari Secretly Investigating Corrupt Nigerian Leaders

The #president of Nigeria, Muhammadu #Buhari , has been alleged to have launched a secret investigation into the activities of past #leaders who have ruled this country.

The president has persistently maintained that there would be hideout for corruption-related activities in his government. He has equally maintained that the rule of law was always going to be the watchword of his administration.

In the past, he has lamented that Nigeria has the potential of being one of the biggest economies in Africa and the world, but such potentials have never being closed to becoming a reality as a result of the depth of corruption in the country.

According to one of our sources, the inability of President Buhari to name his cabinet after being at the helm of affairs of the nation for over five weeks is connected with his determination to wage an unending war against corruption.

Buhari holds the view that if corruption must be reduced to the barest minimum in the country, then only corrupt-free men and women in the country must be elevated to work with him as ministers.

At a time when the nation is seriously in need of funds for his administration to bring to Nigerians the dividend of democracy and fulfill his campaign promises, Buhari has now turned to secretly investigating past leaders who have looted funds from the nation’s coffers.

At the moment, according to another source, the president is using the carrot and stick approach; Buhari is negotiating with corrupt past leaders to return the funds they have looted to the federation account.

The modalities for returning these funds are also be included in part of the negotiation.

However, in similar manner, another source added that should this secret investigations of past leaders not make any headway, then the president may be forced to switch to an alternative plan.

The alternative plan is for the president to openly order the arrest of past leaders who have refused to cooperate with him; these would be sent to jails, which are also being constructed in secret locations.

In all, the president may be accused by Nigerians of being lukewarm and overwhelmed by the enormous task of handling the country, but Nigerians need to know that Buhari is secretly busy plotting how to shock everyone.
