Jonathan Dissolves Cabinet As Wife Avoids Inauguration Ground

The outgoing President of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan on Thursday formally dissolved his Cabinet after selfless service to the country.

The dissolution which took place at midnight might be the reason behind his wife's absence at the official handover of President Goodluck Jonathan as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to usher in Muhammadu Buhari as the new president of the state.

Mrs. Patience Jonathan might be afraid to face the alleged dreadful Buhari as the president of Nigeria due to the influx of her words during the campaign period; “anywhere you hear the word change, stone that person” are words of the then first lady.

Patience Jonathan, who after her husband's defeat has not been stable in the country over alleging illness, might be afraid to lose her influence at the inauguration.

However, after the presidential inauguration dinner held inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja, last night, May 28th, 2015, Jonathan and his ministers proceeded to the Council Chambers tea room. A toast was proposed in his honour by one of the cabinet members few minutes before 12am.

Jonathan thereafter said the cabinet stood dissolved by midnight.
