The Honourable Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, Hon

Kenneth Kobani was this evening of Thursday March 26, 2015 attacked by

armed thugs led by Mr. Morris Poronem, All Progressives Congress, APC,

member representing Khana/Gokana Federal Constituency in the House of

Representatives.
His official car was destroyed.
Hon. Kobani who was in Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State on

last minute consultations with his people ahead of Saturday March 28, 2015

presidential and national Assembly elections, was attacked by armed thugs

led by Mr. Morris Poronem.
It took the gallant efforts of his security details to avert what would

have been a black day in Ogoni land and a replay of the Giokoo massacre in

1994.
Reacting to the sad and provocative attack on the life of the Hon.

Minister, the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Rivers

State, Bro Felix Obuah calls for the arrest of Mr. Morris Poronem and all

the armed thugs involved in the dastardly act.
Bro Obuah in the statement signed by his Special Adviser, Media, Jerry

Needam condemns the animalistic action of a man who was supposed to be a

“honourable” man, describing Mr. Morris Poronem as a failure and disgrace

to the Ogoni nation.
The PDP Chairman saddened by the attacked on Hon. Kenneth Kobani,

regretted repeated attacks on members of the PDP by the APC, happening

just few hours after General Buhari signed another peace accord, and

described members of the APC as violent.
Obuah called on the Ogoni people and all members of the PDP to remain calm

and law abiding, assuring that Mr. Poronem must be arrested and prosecuted
