Imoke not selling Chronicle – Aide

SAN FRANCISCO, March 20, (THEWILL) – The State Governor, Senator Liyel Imoke says there is no truth in the report that he intends to sell the state owned Nigerian Chronicle.

Imoke in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Christian Ita said the purported plan to sell the newspaper is the figment of the imagination of ‎the author of the report.

“Governor Liyel Imoke does not have any plan to sell the Nigerian Chronicle. The governor sees the Chronicle as one of the state's most iconic brands‎. So there is no plan to sell it.”

‎The statement therefore, urged the people of the state to disregard the report, saying it is completely misleading and false.
