Gov.Ngglari promise to be having a monthly media chart

The Governor of Adamawa state Barr.Bala James Ngglari yesterday conveyed a dinner with the members of the press in the state held at the Government House, where he appreciate their steadfast and untired media coverage they have been given his administration since its inception.

He lament how some journalist operate without respecting the ethics of the profession by projecting the negative face of his government though he believed that accusations are never excluded in any good leadership,but for the sake of how the state and the country in general found itself is only prayers and developmental journalism will help the country stand the test of time.

"I thank you so much for doing this government good by projecting every of activities not forgetting the major roles you played on how I came into power.

I am not saying I expect your total positive reports for my government or project the administration unduly but by doing it as the ethics expects you to do." Nggilari said

Bala admitted the gap created between him and Journalist working in the state and promised to be organising a monthly media chart where he can intimate the members of the press on any happenings of the government.

"You know all how I came in to power its always one meeting of the order here and there, time to sit properly to organising something like this but from now on I promise you a monthly media chart where we can interact on any subject matter". He added

The meeting had paper presentation by Dr Amos Edgar with a tittle "Government and the media in the contemporary society" where it emphasized the need of developmental journalism by members of the press and always to be objective in their reportage.
