Enugu 2015: Ugwuanyi’s choice has united PDP – Chime

Governor Sullivan Chime of Enugu State has said that the choice of Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi as the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic  Party (PDP) in Enugu State, has unified and galvanized the party unlike the , case in some other states.

Chime who was addressing a PDP campaign rally on Tuesday at Nkwo Nike, headquarters of the Enugu East Local Government Area, noted that many who had previously left the party had returned since the choice of Ugwuanyi.

He said this demonstrated the overwhelming dominance of the party in the state adding that anyone who was contesting elections in another party was merely amusing himself.

The Governor said, ” we have actually come to thank God, to celebrate and formally present our gubernatorial candidate and not to campaign but we are not taking your support for granted”.

Addressing the mammoth crowd of supporters, Hon Ugwuanyi reiterated his resolve to continue the good works of governor Chime adding that his own administration will create 10,000 jobs in the first six months of its inception if voted in.

He also pledged to continue and complete on going projects of the Chime administration while initiating others that would further transform the state.

Ugwuanyi further assured that he would strengthen the security of lives and property  already entrenched by the Chime administration and urged the people to continue to support the PDP led government in the state.

“We thank God for the gift of Sullivan. We have decided to continue and consolidate on his legacies. It is going to be case of seamless continuity”.

The PDP guber candidate urged Enugu to also vote massively for President  Goodluck Jonathan and other candidates of the party in the state assuring them that they will continue to provide quality leadership.

Highlight of the rally which was attended by prominent party leaders in the state, was the presentation of party flags to the Senatorial, House of Representatives and House of Assembly  candidates of the party in the area; Senator Gil Nnaji, Hon, Kingsley Ebenyi, Joseph Ugwumba and Edward Ubosi respectively.
