#BringBackOurGirls: Imo State Union Of Elders Uk Condemn The Unconscionable Abduction Of Innocent Students In Borno State, Nigeria

By Promise Egwu

Imo State Elders Union UK condemn in an unmistakable term the unconscionable abduction of innocent secondary school girls in Chibok, Borno State, Nigeria. The Students did nothing wrong but to go to school to learn so as to improve their chances of a better future in life.

The abduction of the girls to say the least is odious, atrocious and should be condemned by all right thinking human beings irrespective of their religion and race. As parents and grand-parents our hearts bleed and we feel the distress the families are going through at this very moment. However, we will continue to pray for their safe release.

We also use this opportunity to express our unquantifiable support to all the branches of our Security Services-our brave men and women who daily put themselves in harm's way to protect the citizens and secure our borders. We appreciate them and will not forgot in a hurry the ultimate scarifies they make with their lives everyday. May The Almighty God protect and guide them in all their daily activities.

'The security of lives and property is everybody's problem and we appeal to all Nigerians to support our able and hardworking President Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan in the fight against terrorism in the country. The truth now is, Nigeria is changed and citizen must adapt to this new reality for a better future for our country' said Elder Adolph, Chairman Imo State Elders Union UK.
