Rangers International FC of Enugu plans to secure the maximum points in its three remaining Glo Premier League matches to be in contention for a continental ticket.

The club said in a statement from its Director of Media and Publicity, Foster Chime, in Enugu on Thursday that its management was doing all it could to achieve the feat.

Chime credited the club's General Manager, Paul Chibuzor, as saying that it needed to secure the maximum nine points to contend for the league shield and continental tickets.

He also quoted Chibuzor as saying that the players had been motivated financially by the board Chairman, Chief Festus Onu, the state government and other friends of the club.

He said the players and officials had resolved to remain committed to ensuring that they won the two remaining home matches and one away match to Heartland FC of Owerri.

Chime also quoted team captain Godwin Ayalogu as saying that the players had vowed to win the remaining three games to reciprocate the gesture by the state government.

Ayalogu thanked the board chairman for the financial support for away wins, draws and home wins, noting that the players were determined not to miss on the largesse by winning the matches.

The chairman had promised the team N500,000 for away wins, N300,000 for away draws and N250,000 for home wins.
