Nigerians Urged To Be Peace Loving

The former Majority Leader, Anambra state House of Assembly, Dr. Robot C.K Ezeilo has described President Goodluck Jonathan's recently constituted committee to foresee modalities through which the country could convey a-sovereign national conference as a step in right direction.

Chief Ezilo who made the assertion during his visit to Anambra state house of Assembly yesterday, called on Nigerians to be ambassador of peace saying that peace is panacea to unity and national development.

While urging Nigerians to support the committee with necessary information that could yield the desired result, he charged the citizenry to support Mr. President to secure the lives and properties of the populace by releasing useful information to the law enforcement agencies and by securing their environment as at when do.

However, the erstwhile Majority leader advised the National Assembly to amend section 8 of the 1999 constitution to give way for state and local government creation and entrench equity in governance especially in Southeastern part of the country that has only 5 states against it colleagues with 6 and 7 respectively but posited that the supposed new state should be carved out of Anambra South senatorial zone and merged with Orlu zone in Imo state.
