Kudirat: Appeal Court frees Al- Mustapha
Former Chief Security Officer to the late Nigerian Head of State, Gen Sani Abacha, Major Hamza Al- Mustapha was this morning discharged and acquitted of the alleged murder of Kudirat, the wife of late Chief MKO Abiola, the Presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the June 1993 election.
Kudirat was murdered in 1996.
Al-Mustapha was freed this morning by the Lagos Division of the Appeal Court.
He was sentenced to death last year over the matter.
