Ondo Youth& Students Crisis, stakeholders meet to restrategise

By Kayode Mogbojuri

As Dr. Mimiko dissolves his cabinet, the stakeholders of Youth and student movement held two emergencies meetings at two different location across the state yesterday. Sources close to

the meeting said that the first meeting was held at Owo where a former President of Poly Owo Students Union and a pioneer member of Nigerian Youth Parliament presided over the meeting. Around 5pm, the meeting was moved to Ondo town(akiavic hotel) where one prominent former president of Students Union Adeyemi College of Education Presided. On the issue discussed at the meeting, another source who prefer anonymity said that the stakeholders are weighing the options of whether to wait till the governor appoints his SA youth before the NAOSS election or the election should come first before the appointment of the SA. Although some argued that whoever becomes NAOSS president could aid lobbying for who becomes SA Youth, on the other hand some argued that irrespective of who becomes the NAOSS president, the fellow could be hijacked by any interest. The meeting will be moved to Akure today(Tuesday) for proper consultation the source said.
