Gift Orban Seals Loan Move to Turkish Side Amedspor
Nigerian forward Gift Orban will continue his career in Turkey after completing a season-long loan move from Bundesliga club TSG Hoffenheim to Süper Lig side Amedspor.
The agreement was confirmed by Hoffenheim, with the German club revealing that the deal includes a purchase option that could become a permanent transfer if certain conditions outlined in the agreement are met.
Orban heads to Turkey after spending the 2025/26 campaign on loan with Italian outfit Hellas Verona. During his time in Serie A, the 22-year-old impressed with his attacking contributions, scoring seven goals and providing two assists in 28 appearances across all competitions.
His performances attracted interest from a number of clubs, prompting Hoffenheim to consider another temporary move that would provide the striker with consistent playing opportunities.
Sporting director Paul Pajduch explained that the decision was made jointly with the player, expressing confidence that Amedspor would offer the right environment for Orban to continue his development and showcase his attacking qualities in a competitive league.
Orban joined Hoffenheim from French club Olympique Lyon in January 2025 and featured 13 times in the Bundesliga, scoring four goals during his first spell in German football.
The move presents another opportunity for the Nigerian international to gain regular first-team football and further establish himself ahead of the new season.
Amedspor will hope his proven eye for goal strengthens their attack as they prepare for the challenges of the upcoming Turkish Süper Lig campaign.
