Real Madrid Close In on Yan Diomande After Reaching Personal Agreement

Real Madrid have reportedly moved a step closer to signing highly rated Ivory Coast winger Yan Diomande after reaching an agreement on personal terms with the teenage star.

The Spanish giants are keen to strengthen their attacking options and have identified the 19-year-old as one of Europe's most exciting young prospects.

While the player is said to be open to the move, Real Madrid must still negotiate a transfer fee with RB Leipzig before the deal can be finalized.

An initial offer from the La Liga club was turned down by the Bundesliga side, who remain determined to keep hold of one of their brightest talents.

However, reports suggest Madrid are preparing an improved proposal in an effort to convince Leipzig to sell.

Diomande has enjoyed a rapid rise since joining the German club from Leganés. His impressive performances during the 2025/26 season saw him emerge as one of the Bundesliga's standout young attackers, contributing goals and assists while consistently troubling defenders with his pace, creativity, and dribbling ability.

The youngster further enhanced his reputation with strong displays at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, attracting interest from several of Europe's elite clubs.

Despite competition for his signature, Real Madrid appear to have taken the lead after securing the player's approval on contract terms.

Should the transfer be completed, Diomande would become another exciting addition to Madrid's youthful squad as the club continues building for the future.

Negotiations between the two clubs are expected to continue in the coming days, with both sides hoping to reach an agreement before the new season begins.
