Nigerian Striker Victor Mbaoma Completes Move To Tusker FC

Kenyan Premier League side Tusker FC have strengthened their attacking options with the signing of Nigerian forward Victor Mbaoma ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

The experienced 29-year-old striker joins the Brewers from Nigeria Premier Football League champions Remo Stars after agreeing to a one-year contract with the Kenyan club.

His arrival marks Tusker's first acquisition of the current transfer window as the club prepares for both domestic and continental competitions.

Mbaoma enjoyed an impressive campaign with Remo Stars last season, contributing 14 goals and four assists to help the club achieve success.

His consistent performances made him one of the league's most effective attackers and attracted interest from clubs outside Nigeria.

The move also signals a return to East African football for the former Akwa United striker. During his previous spell with Rwandan powerhouse APR FC, Mbaoma established himself as one of the region's top forwards, finishing as the league's highest scorer with 15 goals while playing a key role in the club's domestic triumphs.

Speaking after completing the transfer, Mbaoma said he was excited by the opportunity to represent Tusker FC. He revealed that discussions with the club's management and coaching staff convinced him to make the move, adding that Tusker's rich history and ambition to challenge for trophies both in Kenya and on the continental stage played a major role in his decision.

Tusker head coach Julien Mette also welcomed the signing, expressing confidence that the Nigerian's experience and proven goalscoring ability will strengthen the squad.

Mette noted that he is familiar with Mbaoma's qualities and believes the striker has what it takes to make a significant impact during the upcoming season.

With expectations high, Tusker supporters will be hoping Mbaoma can quickly adapt and deliver the goals needed to help the club compete for major honours in the new campaign.
