Tunisia, Haiti, Turkey Crash Out of World Cup 2026

At least three nations have been officially eliminated from the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2026, following a series of decisive group-stage results that have now ended their hopes of progressing further in the tournament.

The teams confirmed to be out of contention are Tunisia national football team, Haiti national football team, and Turkey national football team.

Tunisia became the latest side to suffer elimination after a heavy 4-0 defeat to Japan at the Estadio Monterrey in Guadalupe. The result left them without a single point from their opening two Group F matches, sealing their exit before the final round of fixtures.

Prior to that, the North African side had also endured a difficult campaign opener, losing 5-1 to Sweden, a result that already placed them under significant pressure heading into their second game.

With two straight defeats, Tunisia can no longer finish in the qualification spots for the Round of 32, regardless of their final group match against the Netherlands.

Haiti and Turkey had earlier been confirmed as eliminated after failing to gather enough points from their respective group fixtures, leaving both nations with no mathematical chance of progression.

Attention now shifts to the remaining group battles, where qualification spots are still up for grabs and several top teams continue to fight for survival in the competition.
