Kano Pillars Announce Major Restructuring After NPFL Survival
Kano Pillars FC have announced a sweeping restructuring exercise affecting their technical and support departments as the club prepares for the 2026–27 Nigeria Premier Football League season.
The decision also extends to all committees and staff appointments within the club, marking one of the most significant internal changes in recent years.
According to the club’s management, the restructuring was approved by General Manager Ahmed Musa following a strategic meeting held on Monday.
The move is aimed at improving efficiency, strengthening professionalism, and aligning the club’s operations with modern global football management standards.
As part of the overhaul, all technical and support staff attached to both the Junior Pillars and U-19 teams have been relieved of their duties.
The decision takes immediate effect, signalling a fresh direction for the club’s developmental and senior structures.
The management noted that the restructuring is necessary to reposition Kano Pillars for better performance in future campaigns.
The club emphasized the need to build a more competitive and organized structure capable of delivering improved results on and off the pitch.
Kano Pillars, popularly known as Sai Masu Gida, managed to escape relegation on the final day of the 2025–26 NPFL season after a challenging campaign.
Their narrow survival is believed to have influenced the decision to carry out a comprehensive review of the team’s operations.
The club has now invited interested and qualified applicants to apply for vacant positions through its official secretariat, indicating that a recruitment process will soon begin to fill the affected roles.
Football stakeholders have described the development as a bold step that could reshape the club’s future direction if properly implemented.
With the new season approaching, attention will now shift to how quickly Kano Pillars can rebuild and stabilize their technical structure ahead of a more competitive NPFL campaign.
