Trabzonspor Reject Saudi Club’s Bid for Nigerian Striker Paul Onuachu
Turkish side Trabzonspor have reportedly turned down an offer worth around €11 million for Nigerian forward Paul Onuachu as interest in the prolific striker continues to grow following an outstanding season.
According to reports from Turkey, a club from Saudi Arabia recently approached Trabzonspor with a proposal for the Super Eagles star.
However, the Turkish Cup winners were not convinced by the amount offered and decided against selling one of their most valuable players.
Despite the rejection, the Saudi club is believed to remain interested and could return with a higher bid in the coming weeks. With the transfer window gathering momentum, Onuachu is expected to attract attention from several clubs looking to strengthen their attacking options.
The towering striker enjoyed a remarkable 2025/26 campaign, establishing himself as one of the most dangerous forwards in the Turkish Super Lig.
His goals played a crucial role in Trabzonspor’s successful season, helping the club compete strongly on multiple fronts.
Onuachu finished the league season as one of the division’s top scorers, further enhancing his reputation as a reliable goal scorer. The 32-year-old also delivered on the biggest stage by helping Trabzonspor secure domestic silverware.
One of his most memorable performances came in the Turkish Cup final, where he found the net twice to inspire his side to victory over Konyaspor. His contribution proved decisive as Trabzonspor lifted the trophy and capped off an impressive campaign.
This is not the first time Saudi clubs have attempted to lure the Nigerian international away from Turkey. Similar interest emerged earlier in the year, but negotiations failed to produce an agreement.
With Onuachu continuing to impress and Trabzonspor determined to keep hold of their star striker, any club hoping to sign him may need to submit a significantly improved offer before the Turkish side considers parting ways with one of their key players.
