Chelsea Ready To Offload Garnacho In Major Squad Overhaul
Chelsea are preparing for a busy summer transfer window, with several players facing uncertain futures as new manager Xabi Alonso begins work at Stamford Bridge.
Reports indicate that the Blues are willing to listen to offers for winger Alejandro Garnacho after a disappointing first season in west London.
The Argentine joined Chelsea from Manchester United in a £40 million move last year but struggled to make a significant impact, scoring just once in the Premier League and failing to secure a regular starting place.
Despite being tied to a long-term contract, Garnacho is now among the players who could leave as Chelsea look to reshape their squad ahead of the new campaign.
Backup goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen and defender Axel Disasi are also believed to be available for transfer. Chelsea are additionally considering the sale of one of their strikers, with Nicolas Jackson, Liam Delap and Marc Guiu all facing competition for places in the attack.
While the club is open to reducing the size of its squad, key figures such as Cole Palmer, Moises Caicedo, Joao Pedro and Estevao Willian are not expected to be sold.
Midfielder Enzo Fernandez and defender Marc Cucurella have attracted interest from several European clubs, but Chelsea are not actively seeking to part ways with either player.
Alonso, who officially takes charge in July, is expected to target experienced additions to strengthen the squad after Chelsea endured a disappointing Premier League campaign that ended with a 10th-place finish.
