Ladan Bosso Declares Interest In Nigeria U-23 Eagles Coaching Job

Former Flying Eagles coach Ladan Bosso has openly declared his interest in becoming the next head coach of Nigeria’s U-23 national team, joining the growing list of experienced managers linked with the role.

The coaching position became vacant following recent changes within the national team setup, with the Nigeria Football Federation yet to announce a replacement.

Bosso, who currently serves as chairman of the Nigeria Football Coaches Association, confirmed that he is willing to take charge of the Olympic Eagles if given the opportunity.

The veteran tactician stated that he is now awaiting the federation’s final decision regarding the appointment.

The 58-year-old is widely known for his long coaching career in Nigerian football, having managed several clubs in the Nigeria Premier Football League.

Over the years, he has handled teams such as Kano Pillars, Wikki Tourists, Bayelsa United, Abia Warriors and El-Kanemi Warriors, earning a reputation as one of the country’s most experienced local coaches.

Bosso also enjoyed spells with Nigeria’s youth national teams and remains remembered for guiding the Flying Eagles to the quarter-finals of the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2007.

Meanwhile, former Super Eagles assistant coach Samson Siasia and ex-international Daniel Amokachi are also reportedly being considered for the U-23 Eagles job.

Despite the growing speculation, the NFF has remained silent on who will eventually lead the team ahead of upcoming international assignments and Olympic qualification plans.
