GLO N1BN : PETTY TRADER, 8 OTHERS WIN N9M IN ABUJA

It was excitement all the way for nine lucky Glo subscribers who have registered their SIM cards on the Glo network as they received cheques of N1 million each on Wednesday in Abuja after emerging winners in the ongoing Glo N1 Billion SIM registration promo.

The winners are Yelenbini Sabastine, a secondary school student from Abuja, FCT, Omolere Adejoke, a student at the Nigerian College of Aviation, Zaria, Aisha Ibrahim, a student from Kaduna State, Charles Okoro, a furniture maker from Lagos and Abdul Yusuf, a timber contractor from Kogi State.

Others are, Justina Salisu, a petty trader from Dopemu, Lagos State, Mohammed Hassan Musa, a dealer in tractor parts in Gurara, Niger State, Abdullahi Abdulkabiru from Tundun-Wada, Kaduna State and Louis Okoye Okwudili, a trader from Aba, Abia State.

Recounting the stories of how they were informed that they won N1 million for registering their SIM cards, the subscribers were full of joy and excitement for their good fortune. The story of Charles Okoro, a furniture maker, who broke down in tears at the ceremony was especially touching. He said he was so sceptical that he rained insults on the Glo officials, who kept calling him because he thought they were fraudsters.

'I never believed it could be true until I came here with my brother today. I want to thank Glo for not giving up on me. I pray that God will continue to bless Glo as I am short of words. I will use the money to grow my furniture business,' he said.
