NIMN INDUCTS 40 NEW MEMBERS

The National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria, NIMN, has inducted 40 new members.

President of NIMN, Chief Femi Odufowokan, while admitting the 40 new members, said the increase in membership was a demonstration of the institute's commitment to qualitative capacity- building with regards to the training of professionals for the nation=s economic growth and development.

The president noted that it was a new beginning in the effort to rebuild the institute for it to stand the test of time and play its role in Nigerian and the global economy. He pledged to reposition the institution and wean it from past leadership crisis that had impacted on its goals.

He said: AThe need for sound marketing and professional knowledge acquisition that meets the current national and global socio-economic challenges cannot be over-emphasised, hence the need to rescue the institute from collapse in the hands of corporate tyranny by putting an end to certificate racketeering of one day makes a professional.

At the administration of Oath, the Registrar, Mr. Ayoade Adeyemi, charged the new members to adhere to the institute's noble ideals of integrity, transparency and accountability which have influenced the development of the marketing profession globally.
