SSS Hands Back Seized Travel Passports To Okey Ndibe

SAN FRANCISCO, Jan 10, (THEWILL) - The State Security Service (SSS) this afternoon (WAT) bowed to pressure from the media and returned the travel passports seized from respected journalist and university professor, Dr Okey Ndibe.

The SSS had seized Okey's Nigerian and US passports during his brief detention at the Murtala Muhammed Airport (MMA) on Saturday night following his arrival on a Turkish airliner.

THEWILL gathered that the passports were returned after Okey's meeting with the Lagos State Director of the SSS.
